Apra Pennsylvania represents prospect development professionals in the Pennsylvania region as well as nationwide.
With a membership base exceeding 160 professionals as of December 2025, our organization represents over 90 institutions across 21 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada.
Apra PA members play a key role in decision-making processes for investment in products and services at their organizations.
Our members are professionals in prospect development, advancement services, and fundraising. They represent a wide variety of organizations, from one-person shops to large departments.
Apra Pennsylvania has emerged as a leader among Apra chapters.
While Apra PA has been around since the 1990s, in recent years the chapter has grown stronger and more vibrant. We host well-attended events every year. Programming includes webinars, in-person or virtual roundtables, virtual book clubs, happy hours, panel discussions, and even trips to baseball games! We also collaborate with Apra chapters to provide programming, most notably our Mid-Atlantic friends at Apra Carolinas, Apra Metro DC, Apra Virginia, and Apra Maryland.
Apra PA is committed to serving the prospect development community.
Apra PA strives to support colleagues experiencing financial hardship. Since March 2020, we have offered free programming, provided a virtual scholarship to Apra PD 2024, and created annual chapter membership scholarships. We remain at the forefront of trends in the prospect development industry. We host programming related to DEIA initiatives, GDPR, due diligence, analytics, and more. In 2019, we launched a successful mentorship program that continues today.
Apra PA hosted our 2025 Annual Conference In-Person at Gettysburg College.
Our 2026 annual conference will be held in Pittsburgh, PA from October 5-6, 2026. More to come!
In 2025, Apra PA held our first two-day in-person conference since 2014, at Gettysburg College in historic Gettysburg, PA. Over 30 registrants participated in ten sessions and fun after-hours networking experiences, including a happy hour and historical tour of Gettysburg. We received wonderful reviews about the quality of our conference!

2026: Sponsorship Add-ons
In addition to our platinum, gold, and silver packages, Apra PA is searching for donors to sponsor some exclusive benefits for our members:
- Sponsor a networking event during our Apra PA Conference: $600 (this is an add-on to our levels, above)
- Be the exclusive sponsor of a networking event during our conference: such as a happy hour or brunch at a local restaurant, or a group cultural activity.
Sponsor a Professional Development Grant for one Member:
$500 for an active Apra PA member to attend a professional development opportunity of their choice.
Benefits to the sponsor include those listed in our Silver package, above.
